Questions, corrections and tool suggestions

  • Corrections. If a price, feature or fact in an article is wrong or out of date, tell us which page and what changed. We fix errors and update the date on the page.
  • Tool suggestions. A music tool, AI audio tool or service you’d like us to look at. It goes on the list of things worth considering rather than into the schedule. If the tool is your own, say so, and work with us covers what a review would need from your side.
  • Questions about anything we’ve reviewed.

Write for us

We welcome guest posts. If you make music, produce, mix, teach or build audio tools, and you’ve learned something other music makers should know, we’d like to hear from you.

To pitch, choose “A guest post” in the form and tell us:

  • the topic and the angle (what will the reader be able to do after reading it?);
  • a line or two about you and your experience with it;
  • a link to something you’ve written or made, if you have one.

Send a pitch rather than a finished article, and keep it original: nothing that’s been published elsewhere. Guest posts carry the author’s name and follow our editorial standards.

Guest posts are editorial, and we choose them on the topic. If you build something in the area your piece covers, that’s a sponsorship conversation rather than a guest post, and it isn’t a no — see below.

Sponsorship and partnerships

We work with companies that make music software, AI audio tools and services for creators. Choose “Sponsorship or a partnership” in the form, or email us, and tell us what the product is, who it’s for and what you have in mind.

Three ways we usually work together:

  • A tested review. We install it, use it on real work, and show what it did with screenshots and notes from the workflow. The verdict stays ours.
  • A sponsored article or feature, written by us from your material and labeled Sponsored at the top.
  • A written Q&A with someone on your team, answered in your own time.

A tested review is a full day of work, so we usually charge for it. The return doesn’t always have to be money (a real audience to share the piece with can count too), so tell us what you can bring to it. What a piece costs depends on what it needs, so we quote by email once we know the scope.

Two things don’t change:

  • Sponsored pieces are labeled at the top, and the sponsor doesn’t get to change the verdict. A check for factual accuracy before publication is fine. Copy approval isn’t.
  • Sending us a product to test doesn’t buy a review, or a positive one.

If that sounds like the wrong fit, it probably is, and we’d both rather know now. If it sounds right, we’re easy to work with. See our editorial standards.

The longer version, including how we test and what we need from you to run one, is on work with us.
